Advantage of SOP

Sulphate of Potassium ( SOP ) is the most commonly used non-chloride potash fertilizer in the world. It can be sold as a powder product for use in compound fertilizers ( containing nitrogen, phosphate, potassium and sulphate ), as a granular product ( for direct application ), or as a soluble product ( for use in fertigation ).

SOP is priced at a premium to MOP, and is preferred for chloride sensitive crops because MOP contains chloride.

SOP provides 42% potassium + 17% sulphur ( the fourth macronutrient )

SOP is safe for high value specialty crops ( including Treenuts, Vegetables, Fruits, Tea, Tobacco, Turf etc. )

SOP is also used in salty soils because it has a low salinity index, which makes it a water-sparing fertilizer.
